Lycan is a creation of mythology and is thought to be the human form of Wolves who can transform anytime and they have their human attributes even when they are wolves. They are very vicious and bloodthirsty and are in a constant state of war with vampires for attaining a better status. They are highly confused with werewolves but they are much smarter and more intelligent as compared to werewolves. According to mythology, Lycan cannot completely transform into a werewolf because they have their human form too, so they are half-human and half-wolf.

Adult Lycan can easily transform for many hours whereas young Lycan needs to practice transformation to gain control over itself.

Lycan is formed due to the marriage relationship between humans and werewolves as they are thought to be descended from werewolves.
