Jamestown vs. Plymouth

Jamestown and Plymouth are the names of two places in the North America. These places are historical and relate the history with them. Their pasts have made them famous even today they are well known. These places became the English settlement. Jamestown is in Virginia which was the first permanent English settlement. Plymouth in Massachusetts was the second English settlement.

These two places are different from each other along with their people, the conflicts among the people already there with new comers. These two places are far from each other but the popular and quoted together. In Jamestown Europeans were dependent upon Indians for cultivation while in Plymouth Pilgrims were not dependent upon Indians for cultivation. The conflicts among the people were of economy and religion in Plymouth while there was economical issue in Jamestown rose conflicts. In Jamestown there were no killings and barbarism but in Plymouth Indians were killed and treated cruelly.

What is Jamestown?

Jamestown is in Virginia which was the first permanent English settlement in North America. Earlier the Indians were there in the Jamestown. Indians used to cultivate the land for their livelihood. European reached there and found it a good place for residence. They wanted to takeover Jamestown, but Indians were already there. They tried to takeover, but they even did not know about cultivation. Thus they seek help from Indians to survive. European claimed that the Indians living there were not civilized and disorganized. These conflicts raise the economic downfall in Jamestown.

What is Plymouth?

Plymouth in Massachusetts was the second English settlement in North America. When Pilgrims came to Plymouth, Indians were already there. Pilgrims started extreme activities against Indians. Indians were facing their barbarism. Pilgrims used to kill the Indians just for money, land or even fun. There were also the religious issues between the Pilgrims and local Indians. Tere was no appreciation for land cultivation.
